      Job Outlook

      Employment opportunities for criminal justice and law enforcement professionals are expected to grow as fast as the average for all U.S. occupations over the next decade. Jobs will be most plentiful for those professionals who hold a master’s degree in a discipline with direct industry application. Local, state and federal law enforcement agencies will be looking for individuals with advanced skills and training in computer science, forensics, psychology, cybercrimes, accounting, finance and foreign languages. Earning a master’s or Phd will set job seekers apart from other candidates. Most entry-level positions will require a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited higher education institution.

      Between 2012 and 2022 job growth will average roughly 12% per year for all protect service, law enforcement and criminal justice occupations.       Surgical Tech Certification Licensing

      All students who graduate from a CAHEEP institution will receive this certification because it is a requirement to graduate. To maintain the certification, certified surgical techs will need to take 60 hours of continuing education per four years of service or retake the exam every four years, both of which are offered by the Association of Surgical Techs.

      The job outlook for surgical techs is promising. According to The Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2010, nearly 94,000 people were employed in this industry. By the year 2020, the number of surgical tech employees is estimated to increase to over 110,000. This is a 19% increase, which is noted as being about the average rate of growth.

      However, it should also be noted that the average growth rating, according to The Bureau of Labor Statistics is 10 to 19%, so their expected job growth for surgical techs is just one percent away from being considered above average. The reason for the expected growth is the baby boomer generation aging, which will likely result in more patients requiring surgery as a result of their aging health.

      People should also keep in mind that the job growth for other industries may actually decrease, which makes this field an even better career choice. The growth predictions are all estimates, and some specific certifications of surgical techs are expected to beat this prediction and others may fall a little short.

      • Deep experience in dealing with large volumes of data storage, retrieval and mass migrations from on-prem to cloud
      • Hands on experience in Cloud computing architecture, technical design and implementations including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery models
      • Deep experience in Software design and development, Systems Operations / Management; Database architecture, Storage and IT Security
      • Virtualization and Containerization experience is a plus
